Things we've watched this week
BBC documentary ‘Asteroids – The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ explains the importance of asteroids to the creation of life on Earth and possibly on other planets. It has got a great scene recreating the ‘Giant impact hypothesis’ where our Moon was created after Theia collided with Earth 50 million years ago. Here the link and it is still free to watch for a few more days:
Things we’ve done
We visited Imran Qureshi’s miniature painting exhibition at the Barbican. Specifically commissioned to be displayed at The Curve, the vibrant colours of the paintings are surrounded by an overwhelming dark setting. Free entry!
Things we’ve listened to
‘Dame Zaha Hadid’ on BBC Radio 4. Interesting interview where she talks about her personal life and work but also about songs that have been important to her. Who doesn’t like‘Hey Jude’ by The Beatles?
